Come and play Junior and Senior Cricket at Town Malling CC

In 2007 a number of Town Malling CC players (all ECB qualified coaches) embarked on local programmes to promote cricket at Junior Level. Initially this involved working in two local schools either to support the national curriculum or by providing after school clubs. This developed to summer coaching courses for boys and girls from seven years old through to teenagers at our club based at The Old County Ground, West Malling. Based on this initial interest and success, the club is now seeking to provide coaching for more junior players in 2008 with the aim to gain junior league status in 2008 for a number of age groups. The intention would be to have groups for Under 10’s, Under 13’s and Under 16’s in our first year.

Additionally, we are working closely with the newly formed Kings Hill Cricket Club to coach and integrate Kings Hill youngsters in cricket at Town Malling until a time when their own facilities and support structure are available to start their own youth section.

We welcome children across all age groups (seven upwards) of all abilities as we pay particular emphasis on a safe and fun environment for all children to enjoy cricket related games and exercise.

We are therefore keen to hear from local families now by contacting Martyn Senior on 07747 444501 for further information on our plans for Junior cricket in 2008.

Additionally, we would welcome enquiries from adults wishing to join and play for the club next season, we particularly welcome interest from parent / child combinations to assist with the junior set up or play in our newly formed 3rd XI which we see as a development team for our up and coming young players.
